Your First Appointment
Your first visit at Dr. Perry’s office will give you the confidence that you will need to begin your journey to a beautiful smile. You will meet our staff and you will be given a tour of our office. If you are ready to begin orthodontic treatment, a complete set of diagnostic records will be taken that day with your approval. These records will include your medical and dental history, a clinical examination, two digital x-rays, 3D study models of your teeth, and digital photos. This information is used to develop your unique orthodontic plan.
You will then have a consultation with Dr. Perry to discuss your specific detailed plan of treatment. Following your consultation, our treatment coordinator will discuss financial arrangements and help you set up a convenient payment schedule. We make braces affordable by giving you our interest-free, low monthly payment plans with a small down payment. The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s orthodontic needs. We will also file the necessary insurance forms with information provided by you. Copies of your current dental insurance card and the name of the dental insurance company are necessary, so we can help you to maximize your benefits. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.
Before you leave, we will set up an appointment to place your orthodontic appliances. This appointment usually takes about one hour. This is done during the morning hours so we will have exclusive time set aside just for you. After placement of the appliances, you are now ready for your periodic adjustments. This usually occurs every 6 to 8 weeks and these appointments last from 10 to 30 minutes each depending on the procedure.
In order to keep our schedule on time, we see patients by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and we kindly ask that they extend us the same courtesy. If you are unable to make your appointment or if you are running a few minutes late for your scheduled appointment, please call us immediately so we can make the necessary accommodations.
